11.2.11

Dear February,
I am writing you this letter with the intention to inform you that I am over you.
o.v.e.r.
If it was at all possible to break up with you, I would.
Before you get all defensive, lets take a minute and look back over the time we  have spent together.
Over the last twenty-seven years you have provided me with nothing but bad memories and life changing experiences that were unquestionably not for the best. Don't get me wrong, I have worked hard to take only good things away from all of the experiences in my life, including yours.  This does not mean I like you. You're cold, and often wet. Dark and depressing.
I will admit, that you, the month of February, have in fact brought some of the most amazing and influential people in my life into this world. However; you must too admit that you have taken some of these same people away from me as well. You took them from us all.
I apologize for being so harsh. You don't really deserve this. We both know you had no control over the events I speak of. Past or present.
Still, February, I'm sorry to say that as of now, I am unable to look back over the time we have spent together and recall a substantial positive experience. Nothing. Maybe in five years I'll check back in and we can reassess this situation. But for now, I am over you.

Please, please release me and the rest of the world from your cold, miserable grip.

Thank you,
M.C.
