Bia's poetry is what first grabbed my attention, but after looking through her website further I learned that she is a beautiful poet and a talented photographer as well. AND if that weren't enough to hold my attention one of her favorite authors is Isabelle Allende. I l-o-v-e Isabelle Allende! I need to put some of her work up here.....
Back to the topic at hand. Here is the poem that drew me to Bia's page in the first place.
Litter In Your Mind
I stroll around
Enter your mind
Carelessly leaving my litter behind
Don’t really think
Change it all around
Not for any reason at all
I have got to do something
Why not take a look around?
Just for some variety
See your thoughts
Stumble over your ideas
Sit and rest on your pictures
Thoughtfully stir them around
Just to see the colours mix
Amusing how blurred they get
I smile a bit and linger on
Tap my fingers at your fears as I go
Notice them start to shake
Think of some mindless things
Being pretty bored
Turn and look at the mess I’ve left
Sigh and stroll on, back out of your mind
